An Asli (true) Opportunity

Anjali was among the first women to join Creative Handicrafts, and over the years, she's grown into someone quietly confident and entirely her own. She credits that growth to the community she found here. Today, known warmly as Anju didi, she also chaired the Creative Handicrafts Board of Trustees from 1994 to 2011.

At Creative Handicrafts, she says, no one is above another - every person is a stakeholder. Anjali has spent years helping other disadvantaged women find their way here too, and says there's nothing quite like the feeling of helping another woman find her footing. Her family is now financially secure, her children thriving - living proof, she believes, of what Sister Isabel once hoped this place could be: not just work, but healing.
